Wednesday was my 32nd Birthday.  I was asked by a well meaning friend at Church if I thought I would make it to my Birthday last year.  It seemed to really bother me for some reason.  If you don't already know, I believe we had a great time on my Birthday last year, but things went down hill very fast. In less than 6 weeks I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor, a huge honking Brain Tumor.  I really must say that in a way it truly was a blessing.  There are a great many things that I forgot to appreciate, and now I can say that I appreciate everything. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

It is what it is...

I try to tell myself that, every day. It doesn't always work. Can I knit, yes. Do I want to knit, no. Which is very disturbing, because before I really admitted it to myself, I kinda bought a lot of stuff. I'm going to keep it for now, to see if this funk is going to last forever.

It is a new day...

I am sorry if it seems I have left you hanging. It seems I haven't been here in a while. To be honest, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I am trying my hardest to get back into the swing of things, by doing the things I remember doing before.

I AM NOT KNITTING!!!! I can, I just don't want to. I have beautiful projects waiting for me...I just can't bring myself to pick them up.

Last time I sat down and wrote a great post, it disappeared.  I guess I got angry and decided I needed a break.
It has come to my attention that maybe my break is just a little too long.
I am having some serious problems with short term memory. Those of you that send me emails and leave me comments, Thank you.  Sometimes I just can't remember to reply and to be honest some days I find my  email inbox extremely overwhelming.

Tired

I'm tired. tired. tired.  It is a sad day when I don't check bloglines or email. Bloglines shows 8 dictionary word of the days. That's 8 days of non-interest on my part. Just. Not. Like. Me. As for email, I think people have stopped sending to me because the lack of replies. Sorry. Tired. Tired. Tired.
I finished my second round of chemo last Friday and seem to be feeling more and more fried every day. Nausea, exhaustion and crankiness.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. I was sorry the kids couldn't participate in their little parties today due to school being closed. Looks like they'll be closed tomorrow, too.  I hope you are enjoying whatever weather you have where you are.  I would love to be able to slide down my driveway, but the hubby hasn't purchased a helmut for me, yet.

Guess what! Today is a no Cancer day! I am sick of talking about it, and I am sure some of you are sick of hearing about it!

And here is the yarn from Perchance to Knit, that I hope to make socks out of. (I’ve forgotten how to do “Magic Loop” and haven’t knit socks since surgery. But, I am armed with a new “Magic Loop” book and am going to try again.

 

I have fallen in love with The Loopy Ewe Store and Sheri is a gem. I can’t wait to hear of the new additions to her shop! She really is a joy.

 

Sad news: One of my favorite LYS’ is going to be no more. Knit Together in Stamford,CT is going out business.  I don’t know the details, but I do know that John actually taught me how to knit socks on dpns and sold me my first sock yarn and pattern.  Over the years, I had been a fill in, when they didn’t have enough staff, and then I moved too far away. I am so saddened by this turn of events. John had also been a friend to my daughter Dylana.  I hope that maybe on Saturday we can get to the store and actually see them to give our heartfelt goodbyes.

We are having guests for the weekend (Dylana’s class rats). Maybe I’ll remember to take some pictures and share them with you :o)

Last year this is what I did...

Some of you may remember I walked for Diabetes Research.  My Cyberfriend Karen has diabetes and is walking this year.  She is also holding a raffle of sorts for persons who donate.  Go check it out!  I would walk again this year, but my littlest sister is getting married the day before and the girls are going to be flower girls and I'll be chasing them around, making sure they don't ruin their dresses ;)

Crazy People Need Not Live As My Neighbor...

I am crazy enough for my whole street, I assure you.  I hadn't mentioned last weekend's little neighborly problem.  Apparently, my rear neighbor doesn't like children, or noises associated with children, as she decided it would be fun to yell at them. 
She pulled it again today...  I am in the middle of my worst period day in a long time... Cramps and all.  Wrong day to be messing with my kids.  She told them to "Shut Up".  Mr. Clean told me to close the door as I was going to go out there and tell her to shut the eff up, cuz thier not her kids.  So I listened.  I didn't want to.  Nope.  I was in the middle of last minute dying.  Then  she told them to go inside.  To which I yelled out the door for her to go inside.  She then yelled something at me as I was closing the door that I couldn't hear.  So I went to hunt her down.  Mr. Clean knows how pissy I can get and loves to watch the fireworks.  So he is at the other back door watching.  She disappeared.  I was wearing my blue dye gloves, so looking back, I kinda understand the urge to go hide.  She hid and Mr. Clean decided it would be a good idea to call the lovely Police Officers that really have not a whole lot else to do and get the incidents documented.
The Policeman went over there and she told him that she wouldn't yell at the kids anymore. 
Just wait until the pool goes in over there.  Maybe she'll sell her house.
Oh Well.  I am so good at making friends and influencing people.
Anyone wanna Dog Watch for 4 days????   Help!

Confused and tired is the best I can describe the mood these days.
I used to be so much fun.  What has happened to me, is this a normal 30 yo thing?
There are days when I just give up.  I don't want to do anything, not knit, not play, not even breathe, sometimes.  It is getting so bad that I think maybe a psych eval is in order, especially with my family history.  Better to nip it in the butt than have everyone including me suffer.

Look I got my sockapaloooza socks with great guilt (I am waiting for Mr. Clean to be home for a post office trip by myself...they are done and ready to go)  My pal was Michele.  And she is going to have a baby.  Go congratulate her and help her out with her yucky prego feelings!  Thank you Michele, I love them!  I am sorry I am so late on thanking you.  Maybe I can make you something baby related...if I get out of this horrible funk.  I love me some babies, I just don't like incubating them myself.
This is a progress picture of my pal's socks.  I made mine from Dani's Sunshine Yarns in Shamrock.  They really are pretty.  Just a plain ribbed sock.  I hope 1. Mr. clean gets his butt home early one of these days and 2. she likes them!

We had a craft swap at my house.  What fun.  My kids hoarded what was left over.  I tried to tell them I was trying to get rid of stuff not get more...but they wouldn't listen.
